I have been running Windows 10 Technical Preview ever since the program kicked-off and everything was running fine. U Are U 4500 Driver DownloadLast week, I received an driver update for ATI Graphics through Windows Update. Post update, the display resolution switched to 1440x900 or something like that. My laptop screen supports 1080 resolution. Digging into the display settings showed that the display adapter listed is 'Windows Basic Display Driver'. I launched 'Device Manager' and found 'ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4500' listed under 'Display Adapters'. When I checked its properties it says the driver is up to date and the device is enabled too. I want my 1080 resolution back. My display suddenly seems like is in the 90s. Thanks Vishvajith. Hi, Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. As per the description, I understand that you are facing some issues using Windows 10. I would suggest you to try the steps to set the perfect resolution for the display and check if that helps. • Right click on the mouse and select the option display settings. • Under display tab select the option advanced display settings. • Under resolution tab set the perfect display resolution for your computer and check. If you are unable to set the resolution, I would suggest you to uninstall the update and check if that helps. • Click on start menu and click on settings. • Click on update and security select Windows updates. • In Windows updates click on advanced option. • Click on view update history. • Select the update which is causing the issue and uninstall. Hope this information helps. Please let us know if you need any other assistance with Windows in future. We will be happy to assist you. Windows 7I don't see any option to uninstall the concerned update. The 'Uninstall update' option allows me to uninstall the typical windows security patches and other related updates but the update concerned doesn't feature in the list. I have attached the screenshot to highlight the update post which I have been facing the said problems. I have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling AMD Catalyst Center & drivers from AMD site. Although the software is installed, I can't launch them. The software just doesn't open. I fixed this problem. Although there are quirks, this is the best working solution right now. Right click on Start > Device Manager > Click on Display adapter > Right click on the ATI Display adapter & Select Properties Click on Driver tab > Update driver > Select 'Browse my computer for driver software' Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' The system will generate a list of drivers installed. I found the below list: I selected the driver dated and it worked. Some live tiles don't appear properly. See image below. I just had the same issue when I did a Windows update a little while ago. I am using an ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 card that worked fine up until this update an hour ago.
